The Aurora Institute of Science and Technology was established in Gagillapur in 2003 as the founding university of the Aurora Consortium under the auspices of the Church Educational Society with support from AICTE and is affiliated with JNTU. The college was formerly known as the Church Institute of Technology. The College was renamed Aurora Institute of Science and Technology in 2008 and is now located at Aushapur, Ghatkesar on the Warangal Highway, 20 km from Uppal Ring Road and 28 km from Secunderabad Railway Station. ASTI focuses on innovative teaching-learning processes to prepare students for a new era of learning and push them forward with confidence as citizens of India, which is fast becoming a global technology hub.
