The Faculty of Medicine was founded in November 1969. The foundation stone for its construction was laid by the late Minister of State of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta. It is named after the devout freedom fighter Baba Raghava Das, who was a prominent Sarvoday leader in the region and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vino Bhave. First, teaching began at the State Polytechnic, then moved to university and hospital buildings under the prosperous leadership of Prof. Pl. Shukla as the first director of this university. The first group of MBBS students was accepted on August 7, 1972.BRD Medical College consists of an administrative block, central library, examination hall, auditorium, classrooms, and various departments for non-clinical and paraclinical medical training subjects, etc. It forms the basis for the medical career of future physicians and provides a research stock in basic medical sciences.

It houses various clinical wards, X-ray rooms, a central patient registration (internal and external), an ambulance, an intensive care unit, an epidemic ward, a blood bank, a drug distribution center, an ART HIV and VCTC diagnosis and treatment center, and a DOTS and microscopy center for the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and 1 auditorium (a number of seats = The hospital also operates public-private diagnostic centers for advanced tests such as computed tomography (CT) and Doppler ultrasound. 

Hostels: 

There are four dormitories for boys and girls on the campus of BRD College, which houses over 600 boys and 250 girls. A canteen is available to students.
