Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering established in 1983 is run by Janata Shikshan Prasarak Mandal ( Esst -1960). JSPM as a trust was envisioned & later flourished under the leadership of Hon’ble Late Shri Vasantrao Naik, and Sudhakar Rao Naik, Ex-Chief Ministers of Maharashtra. The college is approved by AICTE, Affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, and recognized by the DTE. Government of Maharashtra and is recognized under 2(f) & 12 (B) status of UGC. The Institute’s major courses have been accredited twice by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) for the periods 2005- 2008 & 2012 – 2015. The institute's quality management system presently has ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The Training and Placement Department initiate its activities at the beginning of the session. The team of departments consists of a training and placement officer, assisted by a training and placement faculty in charge of each department. Hostle

The Institute provides accommodation for Boys ( 986 students) and Girls (350 students). All the rooms are well ventilated, well furnished and complete with all the facilities. Each hostel is provided with a separate mess(boarding).

Indoor Games: All the hostels has its separate recreation halls having News Paper Reading Rooms & Indoor game facilities like table tennis, badminton court, carom, chess, etc.

Outdoor Games: Foot Ball Ground, Volley Ball Ground, Lawn Tennis Court, Basket Ball Ground, Cricket Ground & Gym. etc.

Festivals: Different festivals are celebrated in hostels with enthusiasm such as Ganesh Festival, Janamstami, Sarasvati Pooja, Holi, Pongal, and Lohdi. Likewise, Hostel Day is also celebrated every year. On this festive occasion, various cultural activities and Inter Hostel sports competitions are organized and the winners in the team & individual events are awarded the momentos and certificates.
