The Babe Ke College of education was started with a mission "To Produce High Spirited Teachers Imbued with Missionary Zeal" in village Mudki of Distt. Ferozepur in the state of Punjab in 2006. The village Mudki has it's historical significance where the last Sikh battle was fought between Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Britishers in December 1845.

It is very much known for having it's existence near the Holy Land of renowned Sufi Saint Baba Farid, the man of high spirit who spread the fragrance of universal brotherhood and communal harmony.
The college started it's journey in the field of Teacher Education from the session 2006-07 with an intake of one unit (100 seats) in B.Ed. course. The next session 2007-08 witnessed a further additional intake of one more unit of B.Ed. course increasing the strength of students to 200. Keeping in mind that sky is the limit, the management of the institution further created resources and got recognition for one more unit in B.Ed. course and M.Ed. course with 25 seats from NCTE in the session 2008-2009, extending to 35 in2010, 50 in 2015 & also leading the pupil teachers strength to 200 in B.Ed. course.
Babe Ke College of Education, Firozpur is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college is approved with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
