It is a matter of considerable gratification & pride that Bareilly College has now completed the cycle of One hundred eighty-three years of useful services to the cause of education in the region of Rohilkhand. It first opened its door as a Government school in 1837 under the Liberal Government of Sir Charles Metcalfe the then Lt. Governor of the North Western Provinces. In 1837 the college began with 57 pupils & Mr. Rogers was its Headmaster.
It is an issue of enormous gratification & satisfaction that Bareilly College has now finished the cycle of One hundred eighty-3 years of beneficial offerings to the purpose of schooling withinside the vicinity of Rohilkhand. It first opened its door as a Government college in 1837 beneath neath the Liberal Government of Sir Charles Metcalfe the then Lt. Governor of the North Western Provinces. In 1837 the university commenced with fifty-seven pupils & Mr. Rogers became its Headmaster.
