Basavashree College of Law is one of the constituents of Karnataka State Law University set up by Basavashree Educational Trust with the permission of the Government of Karnataka and the Bar Council of India to promote professional education and to promote and organize social activities for building up the cultural social and educational character of the young generation.

The trust was established in the year 2004 and started its first venture Basavashree College of Law opening for 3 year LL.B Course with a capacity of 79 Admission in the first year. Today in this college 400 students are pursuing the law course for the academic year 2010-2011. The Basavashree College of law is commencing 5 years LL. B, BBA Law Course for attracting the commerce graduate with the intent to spread legal education as a necessity to all sectors and sections of society.

Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA LLB) Eligibility Criteria

Seeking admission into a 5-year law course only the 10th and 12th qualification suffices with the 10th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into the 5-year law course.

The qualifications of the 10th and 12th may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).

And the Pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.

Master of Laws (LLM) Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a three-year LLB degree or a three-year integrated LLB degree if equivalent LLB degree from a recognized University

Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks in aggregate of the qualifying degree examination

For candidates of the SC/ST category, a relaxation of 5% marks is provided i.e. they need to have 50% marks in the qualifying LLB degree exam

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) Eligibility Criteria

Passed Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 Year duration. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
