Baselios Poulose Second College is one of five schools administered by the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Education Trust, Malecruz. The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and approved by the government. of Kerala and is one of the top colleges of arts and sciences in the university. It is an institution of the minority community. The College is blessed with the Holy Light of our Holy Father, His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aferem II, Prince Patriarch of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church. The institution is named after the former head of the Syrian Jacobite Church in India, HB Baselios Poulose Segundo, a Catholic. 

This institution was founded in 2003 with a vision and a mission. The institution is run by a charitable foundation with SB Dr. Baselios Thomas I, Eastern Catholic, as President and SB Joseph Mor Gregorios as Director. Baselios Poulose Second College is situated on a hill with a calm and serene atmosphere conducive to learning and education. From here, a wide panorama opens up with beautiful and productive greenery. It is 10 km from Muvattupuzha and 3 km from Pampakuda on the Muvattupuzha - Piravom road. Computer room:

Computer Lab offers a relaxed academic environment where students can learn and develop their computer skills. The college has two well-equipped computer labs headed by Mr. Sanju P Joy. Sports:

Woman Cell: 

A women's complaints office for gender equality and gender justice has been established in all their interventions and practices. The department is responsible for handling all grievances from students and staff regarding grievances from women in the college. The function of the cell is solely to protect the rights of students, teachers, and staff and to provide a platform for hearing grievances. Also, try to establish hygiene habits and maintain a healthy atmosphere in and around the university. Try to arm them with the knowledge of their rights and right the wrongs. Meetings are held regularly to facilitate the speedy administration of justice. The Advisory Committee deals with oral and written complaints from time to time. The unit organizes seminars and conferences of professionals and eminent figures on combating violence against women, sexual harassment at work, health, hygiene, etc.
