Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, BCET is one of the Top 10 Engineering Colleges in West Bengal, Durgapur which was set up under the aegis of SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001. Residential Accommodations: Boys Hostel:

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The rooms have been designed to make them feel at home. The purpose is to develop a sense of living and sharing together along with a sense of belongingness towards the institution. The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. Electrical Machine Design Lab Digital Electronics Lab Power Electronics Lab Analog Electronics & Circuitry Design Lab Control System Lab VLSI Lab Analog & Digital Communication Lab Power System Lab (I & II) Antenna and Propagation Lab etc.

Medical Facilities:

The college has a tie-up with a well know hospital that is in close proximity to the college. An ambulance is also available to the students in case of a medical emergency.

The college Central Library conforms with international standards where access time for collection, lending, and returning of books is minimum. Every student is identified by his own library ID Card issued by the Central Library. It has been networked with the DELNET and we are a member of the British Council, Kolkata, to facilitate resource sharing with our other institute libraries and ILL (Inter-Library LAN). As a member of IEEE, ASME, ASCE, and ELNET, students have access to a vast source of reading through e-journals. The library provides 53733 volumes of books, 7200 titles, 96 journals apart from 2260 e-journals, and 1400 CDs. The library also provides books on GATE, GRE, MAT, IES, and IAS as guidebooks for competitive examinations.

Sports Facilities:

The college has its own well-maintained playground. Sports & games such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, etc. are conducted at these playgrounds.
