Bengal College of Engineering (formerly known as BCETW) was established by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2009. Now it is co-educational college offering courses in the domain of Computing, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering. Situated in the posh locality of Durgapur, the Steel City of Bengal the college has a robust infrastructure with modern architectonic features. Starting its journey eight years back, the institute has already positioned itself among the premier engineering institutes in the Asansol-Durgapur industrial belt.

Hostel:

The college has boys’ and girls' separate hostels for inside the campus, namely, Kanchenjunga 1,2, and 3, and Kaveri 1 and 2 (accommodating 500 and 250 borders respectively). Each hostel is carefully supervised by sincere and caring employees and each has a wifi facility.

The DIATM has air-conditioned classrooms equipped with overhead projectors, LCD projectors, and computers with Internet facilities.

Library:

DIATM library is housed in an area of about 11815 sq. ft., and organized into various sections, in a separate building, which is maintained by professionally qualified and skilled staff, and has a rich collection of around 32,000 volumes in Engineering with around 3,500 titles. All the books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification & arranged in the classified order on shelves and are cataloged according to AACR II. The library is fully automated with library software with BARCODING facilities. To keep its readers up to date with the latest developments in Engineering and Technology, the library is subscribing to 54 National and 25 International Journals in Print form. We are maintaining the Book bank system.

Laboratories:

DIATM has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. A comprehensive system of laboratories and workshops is a must for all academic disciplines these days. DIATM has laboratories for Physics, Chemistry Drawing, Basic electronics & Electrical, Analog & Digital Communication, Digital Electronics, Microwaves, Advanced Communication, Electrical, Control systems, Power Electronics, Power Systems, and Thermal Engineering. Chemical Engineering, Networks, Circuits, Language, etc.

Auditorium:

DIATM has an Air-Conditioned Seminar room equipped with facilities for audiovisual connections is an asset of DIATM. In addition to seminars and symposia all around the year, all important discussions and academic meetings are held here. It has a seating arrangement for one hundred people. In addition to the Seminar Room, a Conference I plan is now ready for meetings and discussions of the highest levels.

Cafe/Mess Facility:

The DIATM has a large General Canteen and three Cafeterias to fulfill the need and healthy social gatherings during breaks. Keeping in mind the versatile cultures of the students, the cafeterias serve the verities. The foods are healthy & delicious. The preparation and amenities and always under the strict vigilance of the administration.

Sports Facilities:

The DIATM has sports facilities for all students. Exercise of the mind needs to be complemented by exercise for the body The Institute is extremely enthusiastic about encouraging students in matters of health and sports. A modern multi•gymnasium is being set up within the campus and the Institute offers ample opportunities for both Indoor and Outdoor games such as football, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, and badminton. Intra-College tournaments and various sporting events are a regular feature of our Institute throughout the year. The Institute also holds the Annual Sports Meet in January and February. comprising track and field events wherein all students and staff members readily. etc.

The DIATM has a Gym is equipped with modern instruments and instructors are also present to guide them properly. Most of the students are very excited about this facility and regularly use the gym to keep themselves fit.
