Bengaluru University was founded in July 1964 as a branch of the University of Mysore and is a premier public state university located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The primary campuses of Bengaluru University include the Gyan Bharati campus spread across 4.5 square kilometres and the historic Central College campus, which was established in 1886.
