Infrastructure

The campus of BIPS is conveniently located opposite to the railway station and is midway through the city. The sprawling campus is located in picturesque surroundings that provide a refreshing environment and is aesthetically pleasing. This stimulates intellectual alertness, creativity and a desire for learning. The campus is developing an ambience that gives every student?s character an impulse to grow

Computing facilities include student labs, group computing workstations and a local area network. Students have access to the Internet, communication software, instructional applications and various other data resources.

To ensure adequate power, the generator has been installed in the college as a standby. It enables the students to access the computer lab, LCD, OHP facilities etc. without any hindrances.

The college has internet connectivity to a well-known ISP that provides 24-hour services. Students are encouraged to explore and learn through the net in a disciplined manner.

Pedagogy:
A variety of instrumental methods are followed to facilitate an integrated learning approach. The pedagogy includes lectures cum discussion, analysis and discussion of cases, seminars, self-learning, field visits, group projects, simulation exercises and independent research. The actual mix varies with the nature of the course. Special emphasis is laid on imparting leadership and interpersonal skills to the students.

BIPS has a well-stocked library, which has the latest books on computers, information technology, management and related subjects as well as professional magazines, journals and periodicals. It also maintains a collection of videos and CDs, which are available to students for viewing in the library.

The classrooms are spacious and equipped with modern multimedia equipment to facilitate effective learning. The classrooms are designed to promote maximum interaction between the faculty and students.

Placements

BIPS offers its students valuable opportunities to help them find the right job or to have the right job find them. Throughout the two years in this Institute, they will hone their marketability – studying companies and industries, learning how to analyze their finances, their products and their markets, receiving guidance in preparing their résumés, developing good interviewing and job search techniques, gaining practical experience to interact with prospective employers through course-related and summer projects. The Placement Coordinator provides expert guidance whenever it is needed.
