BBMKU Highlights

BBMKU is a state-owned public university located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It is affiliated with UGC and is currently led by Vice-Chancellor Anjani Kumar Srivastava. According to the arrangement of its foundation, the institution's chancellor will always be the resident of the Governor of Jharkhand. At present, more than 1 lac students are waiting in the process of graduating from the college. The school is still relatively young and still has an extensive journey ahead. One of the main goals of the institution is to provide technical education and, in turn, become a key technology-based institution of the country. The campus life of BBMKU provides lots of extracurricular activities like talent in dance, singing, art, literature, anchoring, event management, modelling, and drama. The premises have sufficient facilities- medical help, food, and a departmental store, etc., to fulfil every need of the students.

The BBMKU offered is a full-time program that offers courses at the UG or PG as well as Ph.D. levels. Additionally, there are 168 programs that are offered across various streams. are provided by the university via its affiliated colleges. Likewise, the streams available at the university are namely Humanities and social sciences, science, accounting and commerce, teaching and education, IT and software, business and management studies, banking, finance and insurance, engineering, law, mass communication, and media and arts(fine/visual/performing). The most popular programs at BBMKU available at the UG level include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, and BA Hons. The most commonly selected programs at PG levels comprise MSc, MA, and MCom. The university has provided high-quality education to a variety of students with its numerous courses and has assisted them in achieving the best life.

BBMKU Placements

BBMKU has a career guidance and placement cell that is constantly working on improving placement assistance for students. It is a fact that the university has made efforts to enhance and deepen its relationship with companies as well as provide internships and job prospects to students. Some departments were successful in finding internships and jobs for their students, particularly this was the case with Commerce, Management and Computer Applications. The BBMKU has also made arrangements for students to meet industry representatives, such as career counselling sessions, skill development programmes and industry interaction programmes. At the same time, it is a pity that the bulk of placements is still based on the performance of students and their personal initiatives, such as off-campus drives and alumni networks.

BBMKU Scholarships

BBMKU has launched the Student Aid Scholarship Program that covers all fields. These are grants that are like government-funded post-matric scholarships for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC) students, which are National Scholarship Portal (NSP) schemes. Scholarships at BBMKU are designed for those who belong to the economically weaker section (EWS) as well as talented students from the university’s region. Keeping in mind that students can opt for any of these scholarships, they are required to do so by the deadline through the official BBMKU website or the relevant government portal. BBMKU Affiliated Colleges

BBMKU is located in the Dhanbad and Bokaro districts of Jharkhand, has a large group of affiliated colleges. Equally, these colleges serve various service sectors like universities, which ultimately provide for the underprivileged students of society. The affiliated colleges at BBMKU offer all UG and PG degrees in arts, science, commerce, and professional studies. Out of the notable affiliated colleges mentioned above, the ones that are most popular are R.V.S. College, Chas; Bindeshwari Dubey College, Pichri; and Tenughat College. R.P.S. College, Chandrapura; Bokaro Women’s College; and Swami Sahajanand College, Chas, are the other most important ones. Similarly, there are educational institutions like Vishthpeeth College, Balidih; J.S.M. College, Phusro; and D.A.V. Women’s College, Katrasgarh, that work together to provide various programs to the students under BBMKU.
