BLDE University offers courses in the field of medicine. The college is located in Bijapur (or Vijayapura). The college provides courses at the UG, the PG as well as PhD degrees. It is a Shri B. M. Patil Medical College of the institute is a top college.

The campus of the institute is spread over 45 acres. It also houses the medical school and the hospital. The campus is environmentally friendly.
