Library:

Canteen:

The College Canteen has been functioning efficiently. The canteen is located inside the college. the students use the canteen facility for their breakfast, lunch, and evening tea with snacks. The Canteen committee of the college is directly under the control of the college Administration. The Contractor of the Canteen is chosen in step with the supply and after taking suitable quotations from the vendors. Students and staff of the college benefit from the college canteen. The menu is planned by the assigned team of the Canteen committee and instructions are given to the Contractor accordingly. The contract of the Canteen is renewed per annum.

Computer Centre:

The college has a central computer center on campus. Besides offering short-term courses in computer applications, students are given facilities for the study of computer applications as per their regular syllabus. The students use the net facility for grooming themselves. Internet facility is offered in all departments.

Common Room:

To facilitate our students, the college has established a spacious and comfortable front room. This space has been designed to give students an area to relax, study, and have informal discussions within the free time available. Daily newspapers, magazines, periodicals, and journals are available for leisure reading. Female students appreciate this facility a great deal.

Sports Facilities:

The institution has adequate facilities for sports and extracurricular activities. Extra-curricular activities impart meaningful dimensions to students’ personalities and help in fulfilling the specified purpose of education and learning. The institution not only encourages the students to actively participate in such activities but also takes care to supply all physical facilities and infrastructure required to undertake these activities. Students are trained in sports under the guidance of qualified staff. Scholarships at BLM Girls College

Fee concession up to a limit of 10% on a half rate of the total enrolment in each case is granted only within the case of really deserving and promising students. Application for fee concession must be submitted on the prescribed form available within the office. Special Grant to the Girl Student Belonging to Scheduled Castes: The girls belonging to Scheduled Castes (whose parents/guardians are permanently settled in Punjab State) who are pursuing their studies in a college in Punjab or Chandigarh are given a special grant provided the annual income of their family does not exceed Rs. 60,925.

Backward Classes:

The prescribed form and entitlement card that such students are required to submit are obtained free of cost from the college Office as well as from the office of the District Welfare Officer concerned. the student should submit the appliance form and entitlement cards to the college along with their admission form for onward transmission to the Director of Public Instruction (Colleges) Punjab in time.

State Backward Classes Welfare Scheme:

Stipends are given to such backward classes students as are permanently settled within the Punjab state and pursuing their study within the college of Punjab provided the annual income of their families does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/ –
