B.M.S. College of Law was established in 1963, by Sri. B.S. Narayan Donor Trustee BMSET, who is under the age of B.M. Sreenivasaiah Educational Trust. The Trust's name is derived from the Dharmaprakasha Rajakaryaprasaktha Sri. B.M. Sreenivasaiah his visionary leadership set the stage to the country's initial private Engineering College in the State of Karnataka. This college is attached to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi (KSLU), and is endorsed by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The college provides B.A. LL.B., B.Com.
