MKSSS’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women, was established in 1994 with the visionary leadership of Mr. Avinash Wardekar and Principal Dr Anurag Kashyap. Late Mr. Mahendrabhai Nanavati, who was closely associated with Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha( MKSSS)- Pune, offered Rs.90 lakhs as generous hand extendtion towards Girls Education as MKSSS was founded in 1896, with the responsive mission of uplifting the social, educational, financial and spiritual conditions of women and widows, making them confident and self-reliant.

Samstha’s common hostels are supervised by Samantha are for college students provide a right blend of academic pursuit and memorable hostel life. About 1200 students are accommodated in various campus hostels. Our samstha has 4 hostels with a total of 270 rooms. There are 3 hostels on triple sharing basis and 1 hostel with twin sharing basis. Spacious rooms with excellent facilities for the day to day needs like washing machine areas, toilets, storage etc. in addition to a well equipped gymnasium, three different dining halls and solar water heating system, T.V. room, and parlor are some of the features of our well designed hostel buildings, one of which is reserved for foreign students and N.R.I’s.

The BNCA Library is very rich with variety of Books and other reading and reference material. It has Library Management software called KOHA which facilitates students to access Book catalogue thorough their Mobiles. We give open access to students to choose their books from a range of Architectural Knowledge domain from History , Heritage to recent trends in Digital Architecture. Rare reference books, portfolios and building drawings. We have OPAC terminal for students access and barcode support to software for automated Book Issue system. Library has Institutional Photo Achieve created with a special scanning machine for Repository. Library Supports to the Vision and Mission of the College.

Library is possesses 11846 volumes including text books, reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, code books, BSI Standards and data sources books in Architecture. BNCA Library also has bound volumes, thesis, research report.1000 audiovisual materials such as CD, DVD, etc. More than 25 national and international journals. Great works of Alumni are preserved in digital as well as printed format. It has large collection of e Journal through subscribed database called EBSCO – Art and Architecture.

Computer Labs:

The college has high-tech computer graphics studios with more than 410 advanced computers with LAN and internet services through wireless connectivity, and LCD projection systems, hardware and software, digital cameras, printers, scanners, plotters, photocopying machine and video cameras etc. All are the back bone of our infrastructure. Advance graphics lab is equipped with 120 computers with advanced configurations, a central control room, audio – visual projection facilities and a central data archiving center.
