Carmel College of Engineering & Technology (CCET) is owned and managed by the St.Joseph's Carmel Educational & Charitable Trust of CMI, registered on 13-09-2012. The Institution was established by a Public Charitable Trust in 2014 at Punnapra, Alappuzha, with the object of providing education to all in the field of Engineering & Technology. Our motto is molding Engineers par Excellence with Integrity, commitment, and human values who are competent to meet the global standards in business, industry, and research and would act as catalysts for the transformation of society.

Carmel College of Engineering & Technology, Punnapra managed by St. Joseph's Carmel Educational & Charitable Trust of CMI, is the only Engineering College offering UG-level courses under the Province of St.Joseph, Thiruvananthapuram. A self-financing college approved by AICTE and affiliated with the University of Kerala, Carmel College of Engineering and Technology offers 4-year B.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. Infrastructure and Facilities Carmel College of Engineering and Technology :

Carmel College of Engineering and Technology offers several facilities to the students. There is a hostel, library, canteen, cafeteria, and a hospital in case of a medical emergency. The campus has 2 basketball courts and a football court, along with a cricket ground. 

Hostel-

The hostels are well furnished and equipped with the students’ basic and immediate requirements. There are separate hostels for boys and girls which are taken care of by Catholic nuns and priests. Moreover, the hostel provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The accommodation capacity of the hostel is 60 for boys and 50 for girls.

Library-

The library contains resources like books and journals both online and in print. The collection of books varies from science, career, and personality development to fiction. The library is also a member of the National Library Network. 

Canteen-

The canteen of the college serves a variety of food items. From snacks and drinks to healthy hot meals, everything is available at the canteen. The canteen timings are from 7:30 pm to 6:30 am.

Faculty -

With highly qualified faculty, the institute is committed to imparting strong educational foundations and values. With 38 assistant professors and 20 lab assistants, the staff and faculty ensure that students receive premier education and facilities. 

Placements-

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college facilitates the students in getting placed at top companies by equipping them with the necessary tools to work with and enhancing their personalities in order to prepare them to face the rigorous corporate world.
