Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, the most progressive educational institute in the field of rural development in Maharashtra established in 1919 by Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil. “Education Through Self–help” is Padmabhushan Dr. Karmveer Bhaurao Patil’s message and it became the motto of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. This message enhances and glorifies the dignity of labor with education and stands as a lighthouse for future generations. Chandraroop Dakale Jain College of Commerce, Shrirampur established in June 1962. The local traders and intelligentsia naturally felt the need for a college imparting commerce education.

The college complex is located on a 16-acre plot, with a fully built-up space of 9529.6 Sq.m. It offers all modern amenities required for all the development of the students, such as a hostel for girls, library, reading hall, ladies room, seminar hall, audiovisual library, computer and internet facility, gymnasium, playgrounds, vehicle parking, canteen, staff quarters, etc. The solar energy and water harvesting plants enhance the green initiative of the college.

Gymkhana with national and international games is the motivational spirit of the college. Gymkhana not only welcomes sports persons but also conducts various programs and sessions for the minimum fitness of every student and staff.

Organized 51 various types of intercollegiate/inter-zone competitions, tournaments & events.

15 Students participated in open National, all-India Inter-University competitions and tournaments.

Girls' Volleyball Team is Unbeatable at District Level intercollegiate tournaments for the last three years.

The college prestigiously organizes the "Mr. Savitribai Phule Pune University" Best Physique Competition for the last 13 years.

C.D. Jain College of Commerce Library was established in 1962 with a collection of 400 books in two cupboards, and two racks with five periodicals in a classroom. Now it has developed and expanded enormously in all the aspects like a book collection, readers, staff and spacious enormously in supports students and staff to fulfill the goals. Presently we have 50340 books and 46 periodicals. It is a central Library.

Computer Lab With the greater interest towards the social attitude and responsibilities towards the rural area students, our College has come out with a degree course in Computer Application (i.e. B.C.A.) from the year 2008-09.
