The Centre for Distance Virtual Learning (CDVL) is among the oldest institutes at the University of Hyderabad which was established in 1994. The center was established on the basis of instructions given by the UGC and MHRD. The center initially began with two diploma programs. It is currently offering 16 One year Diploma Programs, that are employable, know-how developed and skill-building programmes.
