CIPET Bhubaneswar (MCTI Campus) was established in August 2005 by virtue of an MOU between the Government of Orissa. The college provides necessary technical assistance to Government ITIs, Engineering Schools and Polytechnics in the State of Orissa in the training of faculty, improvement of curriculum and skill level of students.

Processing Laboratory
The Plastics processing department of the centre is well equipped with both conventional processing machines as well as modern microprocessor-controlled processing machines and provides a broad range of skill training to students. In addition following customer services are also provided by the processing department:
Moulding of Plastics products and proving of moulds.
Tailor-made/modular training programs on specific topics as per the requirement of the Plastics industry.
Organize Awareness / Orientation & Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) on "Plastics Processing Techniques".
Consultancy & advisory services to the Plastics industries on "Troubleshooting of processing defects" and "Improvement in Productivity".
Consultancy services to new entrepreneurs on "Setting up of a Plastics processing industry".
