Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan has now been declared as Deemed University on the recommendation of Universtiy Grants Commission by the Ministry of Human Resource Development , Department of Higher & Secondary Education, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi vide their notification No. 9-28/2000-U.3 dated 7th May, 2002 .
Central Sanskrit University, now referred to as the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, is a self-reliant institution, set up in 1970. It has many campuses throughout India, which include Lucknow, Bhopal, and Himachal Pradesh. The Central Sanskrit University is a premier institution for the study of the ancient Indian language, Sanskrit. The University offers academic and training courses and offers diploma courses in Yoga and Ayurveda Sahitya.
