The Central University of Kashmir is one of the oldest institutions founded in the nation. It was founded in the year 1948. is located within Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. It is a centrally-located university. The campus of the university has situated in the area between Nigeen Lake on the western side and Dal Lake on the eastern side.
