Chanakya Law College, founded in 2004, is the oldest law college introducing five years integrated law course in District Udham Singh Nagar and enjoys a pre-eminent national reputation for excellence. The fulcrum of the College has been its well-qualified and dedicated faculty including visiting faculty who besides being successful professionals, find time to share their knowledge with the students. In order to equip its students to successfully meet the challenges of tomorrow, CLC has incorporated many upcoming areas of law into the syllabus. Subjects like Cyberlaw, Environmental law, and intellectual property rights were already integrated into the syllabus.

The college has an environment that nurtures strong bonds between the students and the faculty, which continues beyond the college. Computers have a very important role to play in modern legal education and research. For instance, law schools have to generate a variety of written materials for students as well as for other academic purposes, such as conferences, meetings, moot courts, seminars, and workshops. Almost every law faculty has to supply to the students, the summaries of case law which are normally printed every year by the university press, and the cost of printing is sometimes enormous. Every time the faculty has to pay the printing and composing charges afresh. However, if the text is once typed and stored in the memory of a computer, the required materials can be printed out at any time.

The College provides a bus facility to the day scholars as well as hostellers from their doorstep to the college as per requirements plying on many routes starting from various localities in the circumference of 50 kilometers at very nominal charges.
