Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing has been established by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal under Public Private Partnership in a joint venture with the Government of Gujarat. The college has been established after an MOU has been signed between Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal and the Government of Gujarat, where in Government of Gujarat has allotted Land admeasuring 16,000 sq. mts in Civil Hospital Premises of Gandhinagar on a long-term lease of 35 years at an annual lease rental of Re.1. In turn Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal has made a donation of Rs.1 crore towards “Rogi Kalyan Samiti” of Civil Hospital Gandhinagar and the students being admitted will get to use the facilities of Civil Hospital, Gandhinagar for their training as long as the college is in operation. The college has been approved by Indian Nursing Council and Gujarat Nursing Council. The College is named in memory of Smt. Chanchalben as per the wishes of Shri Mafatbhai Patel of Patel Brothers, USA her husband who has donated an amount of Rs.1.76 crores. The college is situated in the Civil Hospital Premises of Gandhinagar which is very opposite to the Gandhinagar Bus Stand in Sector 12.
