Chhatrapati Shivaji College in Satara is the first college of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha founded by Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil in 1947. It is one of the branches of the "Mighty Banyan" that stretches its arms wide and long. This college is named after the great Maratha warrior King Chhatrapati Shivaji. 

The quorum bears witness to this tradition and undertakes to strengthen it. Karmaveer's desire to make college education accessible to students from economically and educationally disadvantaged sections of the community was realized through this college.  Thanks to the Earn and Learn program, the college has trained many managers, professors, educators, administrators, and prominent figures in the fields of culture, society, politics, education, and cooperation.  In fact, it has played a crucial role in the formation of the state of Maharashtra.
