Christ Nagar College of Education is affiliated with the Carmelite Sisters of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation, which has been active in the field of education for over 150 years. CMI Monastery of Fathers of Christ Hall, Kaudiar, Thiruvananthapuram is a board member. The policies of the College are strictly aligned with the line of the CMI Congregation and are in line with the great educational ideals of the Founding Fathers of the Congregation, particularly S. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The Congregationregards education as an integral part of human development and the fulfillment of individual and social duties. The goal is to develop intellectually competent, spiritually mature, morally just, spiritually integrated, physically healthy, socially acceptable, and God-loving teachers who are committed to justice, love, truth, and peace, and are always open to future growth. 

The college became operational in the 2005-2006 academic year. There are five subjects to choose from (English, Maths, Physics, Science, and Social Studies) and 20 students are enrolled in each subject. Particular attention is paid to the overall development of student teachers. Overall excellence in all areas of the teaching-learning process is the ultimate goal of Christ Nagar College of Education.

Library: 

The library is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.30:00 every working day. The library is closed on Sundays and public holidays. students can each borrow 2 books for 7 days. Absence is no reason to return books on time. It is absolutely forbidden to take notes or write in books. The last tenant is liable for missing items or damage that is not noted on the receipt. A new copy of the same book will replace the lost or damaged book, or you will be charged three times the book price. If they find it difficult to put the books back in the right place, they can put them on the shelves. The books should not be lost. 

Life Sciences Laboratory: 

The laboratory has a scientific atmosphere that encourages independent thinking and drawing conclusions based on observations and experiments. Species specimens, laboratory manuals, instruction sheets, and laboratory manuals are kept. There were also sufficient storage facilities for the equipment.
