This college has been established by Rev.Fr.Dr.J.E.Arulraj, MMI, and managed by DMI Sisters.DMI is known for its time-honorable tradition of imparting quality education to society and rendering social service without discrimination. Our college is situated in the western part of Coimbatore at Chikkarampalayam 5 km from Mettupalayam and 30 km from Coimbatore Junction on the Onnipalayam.

Library:

The library is located in the Main Block. It is strategically placed for access from all departments. It spreads over a vast area of 802 square feet. The ground floor is the area to store the books and it contains the reading section. The first floor is exclusively allocated for the digital section and reference section.

The College Central Library is a vast storehouse of books with over 50275 volumes and more than 275 regularly subscribed journals. This includes foreign IEEE and ASME Online journals. More books are being added to the main Library every year. In addition, each department has a Departmental Library to cater to the needs of the students for textbooks and reference books.

Hostel Facilities:

The institution provides separate furnished hostels for men and women within the college campus with an area of 40,000 sq ft building. The hostels are maintained and supervised by the Sisters of DMI and the fathers of MMI. Apart from providing delicious, healthy and hygienic vegetarian /non-vegetarian food, the Sisters along with wardens/ faculty members closely monitor the activities of the students and also help them in their academics during study hours. The students can also avail themselves of newspapers, television & magazines. The college provides indoor/outdoor games/sports/yoga facilities to the hostel inmates with the view to making their health conscious. The Doctors visit the hostels from St.Joseph hospital, Poonamallee. The hostel thus provides a secure, friendly, and homely atmosphere to the students.

Transport Facilities:

The College has a fleet of buses to facilitate the to and fro transport of students. A fleet of ten buses is operated from different parts of the neighboring areas to bring the students and staff to the college premises on time. In addition, several state-owned and private town and mofussil buses ply via the college and this place is easily accessible from the Kanchipuram Bus stand and Mettupalayam. The Government of Tamilnadu has arranged an exclusive bus to fly between karamadai to our college, both in the morning and evening.
