Christian College, Kattakada was established in 1965. The college is managed by the Society for Higher Education of the SIUC community of the Church of South India registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 (S.No. 143 of 1977) Affiliated to the University of Kerala and recognized by the University Grants Commission, the college is located in a sprawling area of rustic land in the PoovachalPanchayat area under Kattakada Taluk, 20km east of Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala State, South India.

The college auditorium is used by a charitable organization during non-working hours and holidays for imparting remedial coaching to financially insecure school students in the neighborhood.

Transport Facility:

The college has two buses at present maintained by the PTA. One bus runs between Kanjiramkulan and Kattakada and the other bus is between Vellarada and Kattakada. Students who wish to travel by bus have to register their names with the College office. Smt. Divya Mohan (Department of Chemistry) is in charge of the college bus.

Faculty: 

All the faculty members are cooperative in terms of providing academic benefits to the students. They all provide deep knowledge and productive study to the students and also, they have more than 10 years of teaching experience.

Placement: 

Our college does have a career training and placement cell which trains the students in the skills needed in the world of employment as per their career choice. There are no internship opportunities as such, but the students are free to apply outside of their will.
