Christian College of Engineering and Technology is a co-ed self-supporting technical college established in the year 2001 under the aegis of the Christian Fellowship Society in order to open up a path of education for rural youth. More than three decades ago, a group of Indian Christian Medical Doctors established a Society called Christian Fellowship to provide quality Health Care at low cost for the rural people of Oddanchatram and Ambilikkai area.

Hostel:
Separate hostels for Girls and Boys are available. A warden/staff in each hostel is appointed to look after the students as well as to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the hostel. A hosteller may attend a function at home only after a formal written request from the parent to the Principal. Hostellers are allowed to go home only if the college is closed for a week or more. The students must record the time and date of their departure/arrival before leaving and after arriving at the hostel. No electrical gadgets, musical instruments, or motorized vehicles will be allowed to be kept in the hostel.
Library:
The college library has a Store - House of Knowledge. The CCET Library established in 2001 had 1000 books to start with. Now the library contains more than 21,000 Volumes. It functions from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm on all working days. A good Collection of Books are maintained in the Reference Section. Reference Books, Projects, and Question Books are considered reference materials. A Separate Section is available for Periodicals & Magazines. It contains the Back Volumes of Journals & Magazines subscribed from the Library.
