Eligibility Criteria
B.E Admission:
Candidates seeking admission to the B.E program should have successfully completed the Class 12 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology, and English, securing a minimum aggregate of 45%. SC/ST category candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks. Admission is based on the CIPET JEE, and the program duration is four years, with an average annual fee of INR 41,400.
M.E Admission:
Candidates aspiring for the M.E program must possess a Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum aggregate of 55% or an equivalent CGPA. A 5% relaxation is applicable for Reserved Categories. Admission is granted based on the CIPET JEE, and the course duration is two years, with an average annual fee of INR 45,400.
M.Sc Admission:
For admission to the M.Sc program, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Science with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Admission is based on the CIPET JEE, and the course duration is two years, with an average annual fee of INR 30,400.
PG Diploma Admission:
Candidates applying for the PG Diploma program in Plastics Processing and Testing must possess a Bachelor's degree in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc with a minimum aggregate of 50%. SC/ST category candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation. The program duration is 1 year 6 months, with an average annual fee of INR 25,287.
Diploma Admission:
For admission to Diploma courses at the UG level, candidates should have passed the Class 10 examination or its equivalent. SC/ST category candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation. The course duration is three years, with an average annual fee of INR 31,547.
Application Process
Candidates are required to follow an offline application process. They can download the application form from the official website, fill in the necessary details, and submit the completed form along with a demand draft of INR 100 (INR 25 for SC/ST Category) payable to 'CIPET' in Amritsar.
Library:
CIPET Libraries have developed various web-based applications to ensure seamless access to our digital repository. We offer efficient access to our collections and scholarly works to students across all centers. To stay updated with the latest developments, CIPET provides E-books from renowned science publishers covering subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Nano-technology, CAD/CAM, and Manufacturing Technology. Students can access these E-books on the intranet and also access preloaded NPTEL lectures on the digital library servers.
Hostel
Each Center offers hostel facilities for outstation students. The hostels are segregated for girls and boys and are self-contained with amenities such as internet rooms, a gym, lounge, and dining area. Continuous power and water supply, along with backup facilities, ensure a comfortable stay. CIPET hostels maintain strict security protocols, allowing only those with valid identification to enter.
