CIPET: IPT - Bhubaneswar offers UG/PG programmes in the area of science and engineering. The inception, of the Post Graduate (PG) programme M.Tech. in Plastics Engineering, has been offered to the students in the year 2003 with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and in affiliation with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha. Subsequently, the other UG / PG programmes i.e. B.Tech. in Plastics Engineering (2008), M.Tech. in Polymer Nanotechnology (2009), B.Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (2010) have been offered with the approval of AICTE and as well as in affiliation with BPUT, Rourkela. Recently CIPET: IPT-Bhubaneswar is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its ongoing B.Tech. programmes i.e. B.Tech. in Plastics Engineering and B.Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering & Technology.

In addition to the above courses, CIPET: IPT - Bhubaneswar is offering 5-years Integrated M.Sc. (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) in Material Science and Engineering since 2010 and 2 years M.Sc. in Polymer Science since 2013. In the current academic year 2020-21, the 5-years Integrated M.Sc. (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) in Polymer Science and MS by Research in Polymer Science and Engineering are introduced. The Plastics processing department of the centre is well equipped with both conventional processing machines as well as modern microprocessor-controlled processing machines and provides a broad range of skill training to students.
