Co-operative College of Nursing was envisioned in 2007 by the G. Karunakaran Memorial Educational Society to mold a new generation with the knowledge, skill, and attitude to provide nursing care to the sick and the disabled to bring new innovations in the field of Nursing Education in Kerala, G. Karunakaran Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing is affiliated to University of Kerala, popularly known as Kerala University and KUHS. The college is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC). The institute was started with the objective of providing suitable and professional training to the pupil nurses. To attain this objective, G. Karunakaran Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing conducts Bachelor’s degree courses in nursing education. Eligibility: In memory of the late Mr. G. Karunakaran, the former president of the Peroorkada Service Co-operative Bank, an educational society was formed and was registered under the charitable society act of 1955, register no: T2340.Mr. G Karunakaran was a great educationalist, philanthropist, and eminent leader who worked hard for the upgradation of society. After a distinguished career as a teacher, he dedicated himself to public service. His name will be written in golden letters in the history of Peroorkada Service Co-operative Bank.

He was the one who gave new life to the bank when it went to resolution. Under his expert guidance and leadership Peroorkada Service Co-operative bank heralded a new era in the scenario of the banking sector. Now the bank is capable of extending its service to the other sector. The first lap in this effort came true when we step-in to the Co-operative College of Nursing under G. Karunakaran Memorial Educational Society.
