The College of Agriculture Latur was established in the year 1987 with a mandate to impart higher education of B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree to village-level workers (VLW’s) of the Department of Agriculture, working under the T&V system, with an intake capacity of 35 candidates. This college has been strengthened in 1989 with a regular 10+2 pattern B.Sc. (Agriculture) program of four years with an intake capacity of 64 students.

The college has Indoor Badminton Hall, Table Tennis Hall, Open Gym, and a Gymnasium with a multi-exercise station and Free weights which are utilized by a student in the morning session from 05.30 to 08.30 am and evening from 05.00 to 08.00 pm. The college has playgrounds for volleyball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, and Cricket. College students regularly play on the ground in the morning and evening. College students participate in different sports at Intercollegiate Tournaments organized by VNMKV, Parbhani. Many students have also participated in Inter-university Tournaments. College has successfully Organized Intercollegiate Tournaments. The college organizes Sports Week for students every year in which students participate in many sports events such as Badminton, Chess, Cricket, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, and Basketball.
