The central library, the treasure house of knowledge is the nerve center of the intellectual activities of the institute. The library offers services like circulation, reference, reprographic service, literature search, databases service using CD ROMs and other databases, online search, and the internment. The central library consists of over 3000 books and a reference section of 26 another 2000 books covering the core branch subjects, topics on management, higher education, and industry.

College of Engineering and Technology Payyanur has a well-equipped canteen with adequate facilities for the use of staff & students.
Computing Facility & Internet:
Apart from the pc labs supplied in every department, the College of Engineering and Technology - Payyanur has a centralized computer center to cater to the most advanced needs of the students and the faculty. It has been facilitated with 50 nodes connected in LAN with a Xeon processor server. These are linked to a 2 Mbps leased line net connection. Students can also make use of these systems, adequately supported by inkjet, laser jet, dot matrix printers, scanners, scanner cum copier, etc.
Transport:
Owing to the prominence of its location, the institute has ample public transportation facilities available. Anyhow the college will have its own conveyance for the students plying to most nearby towns and cities. A detailed route may be obtained from the transport department of the college.
As per AICTE, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, and Kerala Government rule. The following is the admission procedure for the current academic year. 50% of the total students in B.Tech courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. In the remaining 50% of the management seats, 15% of seats under the NRI quota are given to children and dependants of NRIs on the basis of marks obtained for physics, chemistry, and mathematics in 12th standard. The remaining 35% of seats are given on the basis of merit by ranking applicants on the basis of marks obtained for P C M in 12th standard and for Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.
