Admission Procedure

Admission to UG programs is based on the All Kerala Common Entrance Examination, conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Govt. of Kerala. The criteria for B.Tech degree admission is prescribed by the CEE, Govt. of Kerala, and concerned university, and is issued every year by Govt. of Kerala through a common prospectus for admission to professional degree courses. The entrance examinations are conducted usually in April.

In addition, 5% of students are admitted in each discipline under the Fee Waiver Scheme (FWS) with tuition fee concession. The fee structure of the program is decided by the Govt. of Kerala every year before admission. Once admitted, the fee structure of a student remains the same throughout his/her study provided the student finishes the coursework within 8 consecutive semesters. 75% of seats are designated as Merit Regulated seats for which fee at a lower rate is collected and 25% is designated as Merit full fee seats for which fee as proposed by the Fee Regulatory Committee is charged as approved by the Government of Kerala. Moreover, candidates with a relevant Diploma degree can get a Lateral Entry (LET) to the second year of engineering, under Lateral Entry Scheme as per Govt. directives. A separate Entrance Examination is conducted for such candidates. NRI seats (6 Nos.) are applicable for the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering branch.

B.Tech: Students who qualify entrance examination KEAM 2023 shall provide an option for Merit (regulated) seats (Tuition fee Rs. 40,000/- per year (Rs 20,000/- per semester)) and Merit full fee seats (Tuition fee Rs. 65,000/- per year) through KEAM 2023 portal as per the direction of Commissioner for Entrance Examination. Separate option to be furnished for Merit regulated & Merit full fee seats. 

B.Tech NRI: For NRI seats applications shall be submitted through the college website/ IHRD admission portal once notification is issued. Students need not qualify/appear KEAM 2023 entrance examination for admission to NRI seats (Tuition fee Rs.1,00,000/- per year).  NRI seats are applicable for the B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering Branch. 

Non-KEAM Admission: Students who do not qualify entrance exam KEAM 23-24 will be eligible  to appear for spot admission notified after allotments by the Commissioner of Entrance examination
