College of Engineering, Kidangoor (CEK), Kottayam is one of the best institutions in the state. The College is governed by the Co-operative Academy for Vocational Education established by the Government of Kerala. Admission is based on the grade students receive in the state entrance exams and the operation of the university is in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Kerala government. College of Engineering, Kidangoor offers Undergraduate Programs for (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Computer Science Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Postgraduate Programs Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Wireless Communication Technology.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

College of Engineering, Kidangoor has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from the College of Engineering, Kidangoor, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the College of Engineering, Kidangoor are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library: 

The college has a fully automated library with an amazing collection of over 25,000 books, 60 journals/periodicals, and an EBSCO consortium for e-journals. College has a collection of 2,920 e-books from Springer's engineering and technology suite. The central library is fully automated with the KOHA Integrated Library System. The KOHA ILS@CEK library provides the OPAC (Online Public Access Directory) and the same is available on our campus-wide LAN. Also, we started the “Dspace @ CEK” project to digitize internal seminar/project reports created and presented by our students. Our library workflow module supports barcode-based transactions. 

Transportations: 

The College offers regular bus services to and from the cities of Pala, Ettumanoor, Changanachery, Thalayolaparambu, Karukachal, Erattupetta, and Kottayam to the campus for convenient student and staff transportation. The college campus is 1.5 km from Manthada Jn. FRCollege of Engineering, Kidangoor operates college buses for staff and students. Three buses are also used to transport students from Manthada Jn to campus. The students of this college and their parents really appreciate the bus service. 

Computer Facility: 

The college has a fully downloadable centralized IT structure. The data center has the potential for 60 systems connected via a LAN network. It currently uses 10Mbps and 40Mbps high-speed Internet connections. Users can also choose between operating systems such as Ubuntu, Linux, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Students can use the data center every working day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hostel: 

There are a number of boys and girls youth hostels close to the college with good food and service. The facilities currently available for boys and girls are sufficient. These accommodations are privately owned and closely monitored by the college's Parent Teachers Association (PTA). For student information and orientation, the halls of residence were rated and published on a five-point scale. Applicants and their parents can take information from them and choose the accommodation of their choice. The college's permanent dormitories, first for girls and then for boys, will not be constructed until each block is completed on the permanent site. 

The college is home to 280 students in dormitories less than half a mile from campus. Separate dormitory facilities are available for boys and girls. The male dormitory has a capacity of 135 students and the female dormitory has a capacity of 145 students. Clean rooms and toilets create the perfect atmosphere for a stay away from home. Hostel canteens are designed to meet hygiene standards. All these hostels are fully under the control of the PTA. The College Ladies Hostel with a capacity of 100 students is under construction and is expected to be completed by December 2019.
