Muttathara College of Engineering is the ninth engineering college of the Co-operative Academy of Vocational Education. It was launched in 2016 as part of the Association of Vocational Cooperative Academy.

College of Engineering, Muttathara (CEM) Trivandrum was founded in 2016 and managed by CAPE (Co-operative Academy of Professional Education). The college is only 3.5 km from the heart of Trivandrum city - the East Fort. The college is only 4 km from Trivandrum Central Station and Trivandrum Airport.

The institute was administered by ACEP (Cooperative Academy of Professional Training). Admission is based on the grade achieved by students on the Kerala State Entrance Exams. The institute is equipped with excellent teachers and an environmentally friendly infrastructure concept.

The College is governed by the Cooperative Academy of Vocational Education established by the Government of Kerala.

College of Engineering Muttathara has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from the College of Engineering Muttathara, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the College of Engineering Muttathara are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. Central Library:

Libraries are the backbone of every civil society and the heart of every academic institution. Our university's central library offers all kinds of services to meet the information needs of the university's academic community. It is located on the first floor of the college administration building. The carpeted floor area of the university library is around 420 square meters. The reading area is 200 m². It is well equipped, well furnished, computerized, and has book circulation via a barcode reader. Our library has reference departments, journals, and a digital library with access to electronic journals.

Canteen:

College has a permanent canteen building managed by a private facility selected through an evaluation/tendering process on the basis of quality food at a nominal price. The spacious canteen of 161. 21 m2 offers a selection of South Indian dishes for breakfast and lunch. Light refreshments such as snacks are also offered to students and university staff. The canteen is open on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Canteen Committee is set up to manage the proper functioning of the canteen.

Seminar room:

The institute has a well-equipped 138 m² seminar room, equipped with an LG 2TR AC inverter, 3 KVA UPS, a powerful Cisco Sx80 audio-video engine, an acoustic panel for echo and reverberation control, video camera with path speaker, the ceiling for Cisco telepresence Microphone, LG 86" Interactive Screen, Podium Microphone, Wall Speakers, 60 Laptops, Access Point - Ruckus are the facilities available to conduct various activities such as expert lectures, seminars, workshops, faculty development,

Transportation:

Our college transport service offers transport for students and employees. The college has two buses (one contract) running on two different routes to cater to the needs of students from different parts of Thiruvananthapuram city. The two routes together cover almost all the important points of the city. Students can use the university bus with semester tickets. Only people with ID are allowed to use the university bus. The bus ticket is available in the office after paying the fee. Special buses are also available for students and staff.

Hostel:

Student accommodation is provided in college-approved hostels with good facilities. The college provides adequate facilities and other security measures in its dormitory, which are regularly monitored by the dormitory committee.

Placement Cell:

Internships play an increasingly important role at every renowned university. The goal of the Training and Placement Cell (TPC) is to provide top-notch employment and training opportunities for the students of Muttathara College of Engineering. The Internship Unit facilitates soft skills training programs, seminars, industry-institutional interactions, workshops, competency assessments, orientation and counseling courses, competitive training, and the provision of student internships with reputable organizations. The College's Training and Employment Department provides advice and support to help students learn the best possible employment and entrepreneurship skills. It provides a platform for students to access and absorb valuable resources and acts as an interface to various companies seeking talented young graduates from various disciplines.
