The College of Forestry Bhubaneswar is the first institute in the country to offer a B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry programme, and was founded in 1976. The college got its independent status in 2010 and is located about 5 km from the Bhubaneswar railway station and 2.5 km from the Biju Patnaik International Airport. The College of Forestry Bhubaneswar offers a B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry four-year undergraduate programme with an annual intake of 51 students. The curriculum includes Forest Work Experience (FoWE), an experiential learning program (ELP), designed as per the ICAR recommendations. The campus of College of Forestry Bhubaneswar also offers postgraduate programs for those who wish to focus on topics in forestry research that particularly interest them. The college has modern equipment such as fully equipped classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a common room, an auditorium, and examination halls.
