College of IT and Management Education (CIME) (formerly known as Centre for IT Education (CITE) came up as an initiative of the Orissa State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (A State Government Enterprise, Odisha) under the Electronics and Information Technology Department of Government of Odisha on 4th August 2000 to impart professional educational programs in the field of IT, Management, and Engineering. As per the decision of the Government of Odisha, CIME was taken over by the Government in the Industries Department to run as a Constituent College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) since 1st February 2006 on a self-sustaining model. As of date, it is one of the Six Constituent Colleges of BPUT, Odisha.

College of IT and Management Education (CIME), a Constituent College of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. Over the past eighteen years, it has grown up gradually and steadily. Our college enjoying the status of a Constituent College has recently been placed a B+ grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council. I am duty-bound to thank the Management, Staff and students for these achievements.
The reputation, the college has acquired and established over these years is due to the dedication and selfless commitment of teachers, supporting staff and students. I appreciate the dedication of the past teachers too in taking the Institute ahead.
