Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) was initially constituted as the University of Cochin through an Act of the Kerala Government on 10th July 1971.
Cochin University of Science and Technology is a state government-owned self-sufficient college in Kochi, Kerala, India. It become based in 1971 and has 3 campuses: one in Kalamassery Kochi, one in Ernakulam Town, and one in Kuttanad, Alappuzha, 66 km inland.
Cochin University of Science and Technology is approved by AICTE.
The academic programs of the university include BTech, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, LLB, BVoc, MTech, MBA, MA, MSc, MCA, LLM, MPhil, and Ph.D.
The campus is ready in approximately 180 acres of sprawling inexperienced panorama with rolling hills, sparkling breeze, and golden sunshine. With the primary construction styled in conventional Kerala architecture, the campus homes numerous Departments & Schools besides Marine Sciences, similarly to the executive office, auxiliary institutions, hostels, visitor residence, traveling school complex, computer center, central library, staff quarters, playgrounds and different amenities.
Residential Accommodations:
Hostel lodging for around 600 male and 700 girl college students is to be had for Undergraduate/ Postgraduate / Research college students.
Library:
The library has a 'Special Collections Section' that's one of the most satisfactory in India. Truly a treasure residence of doctoral theses, patents, WHO and different UNO documents, census Reports, art books, Vikasana Rekha (Development Reports), and books on library and Information science.
Cafe/Mess Facility:
The Campus Cafe is open from 8.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M. on all operating days inclusive of Saturdays. A huge style of South Indian and North Indian dishes are to be had. During lunch time Meals are to be had at very nominal rates.
Admission to these programs is based on the CUSAT CAT exam.
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) assists its students with financial help. The university offers a variety of scholarship schemes from various resources to its students. These scholarships are awarded on merit and need basis to the students.
Cochin University provides prominent job offers and internship opportunities to its graduates. During the placements of 2022, CUSAT has recorded the highest salary package of INR 44 LPA and an average salary of INR 4.8 LPA. around 842 students have been recruited by 100+ companies. Recruiters who have participated in the placements drives of 2022 include TCS, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TATA Elxsi, Oracle, Haldia Refinery, Vedanta, HDFC, etc., and many others.
