Candidates must pass an exam called the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to the 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any other elective subject that include English at a grade not lower than the core course of English as outlined by the National Council of Educational Research and Training following implementation of the 10+2+3 year educational system as recommended by the National Committee on education. Any examination must be recognised by the University in order to allow admission.

The admission process for the MBBS course is via NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) which is administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
