Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, Machilipatanam was established in the academic year 1980-81 under the aegis of Hindu High & Branch Schools Society under the mentorship of Late Sei Daita Madhusundana Sastry. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and computer fields. The only Engineering College in ‘MACHILIPATNAM’ was established in the academic year 1980-81 by the famous “The Hindu High & Branch Schools Society”, the origin of which goes back to a period about one and a half centuries ago. The name of the college happens to be “Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering” from 1980 up to 2006.

The college campus has separate hostels for boys and girls with all basic amenities available in them.

There are 3 seminar halls on the campus each with a seating capacity of 180 students.

A variety of hygienic food & snack items which include Cakes, Fresh Juices, Meals, Ice Creams, etc are served at a nominal rate. It is mainly used by the students and staff. Separate partitions for students and staff are available.
