Dayanand Bachhrawan Post Graduate College came into being through the efforts of Munshi Chandrika Prasad ‘Guruji’, reputed Freedom Fighter, former Member of Legislative Assembly, and dedicated social worker. Guruji was all for the educational uplift of the area and was instrumental in establishing an intermediate college in the town. With the cooperation and backing of the local populace, he took a vow in 1969-1970 to establish this college.
