The university owes its existence to the vision and mission of Lala Gian Chand Mahajan (later honored as Swami Munishwaranand). University Campus 

Dayanand College, Hisar is a 65-year-old grade A institution re-accredited by NAAC, Bengaluru in November 2016. The temple of learning is the kindergarten of colleges. The university owes its existence to the vision and mission of Lala Gian Chand Mahajan (later honored as Swami Munishwaranand). He was a teacher by profession, a social crusader by inclination, and a saint by nature. Swamiji was helped in his campaign by a galaxy of philanthropists and missionaries. The college is a multi-faculty government-aided institution affiliated with Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Established in 1950 in the historic city of Hisar, the college was brought under the governing committee of DAV College in New Delhi in 1962. 

Guest house 

Dayanand College, Hisar is a 72-year-old co-educational and girls' boarding school. Lalman Arya Girls Hostel was established on 25 July 1982. The campus covers more than two (02) hectares of land with an idyllic rural charm and is located at a distance of one kilometer. The large open area around and its modern buildings/inns. The location of this hostel is such that hostel girls feel completely safe there. The hostel of the girls forms a complex of buildings that includes the quarters of the guard and the whole complex is surrounded by high boundary walls with only the main entrance. A quiet and free environment acts as a stimulus that makes them understand that education is a delightful experience.  

Library 

The library was established in  1950 and is named after the great freedom fighter "Lala Lajpat Rai", therefore the name of the university library is Lala Lajpat Rai Library. There are 39576 books in the library, of which 32187 books are in the General section and 7389 books are in the Library. 

The college library is located in the heart of the campus. It consists of three beautifully constructed lecture halls and offers comfortable seating for 250 students. It contains more than 82,041 books and is supplemented by regular subscriptions to about 70 national and international journals, providing students with sufficient and adequate reading material. We provide a resource service for students and help readers find the books they want using the  OPAC. The library offers students internet access. It also provides a computerized circulation service, a reference service, and a book bank. 

sports 

Sports are a very important and integral part of the overall development of students. It contributes to physical and mental growth, including friendship and friendship. The college provides special facilities to sportsmen for players of various games like Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Boxing, Yoga, Archery, Cycling, Table Tennis Judo, etc. The college has its own 400-meter athletic track, hockey rink, basketball, and volleyball.
