Dhananjayrao Gadgil Institute of Co-operative Management (DGICM), Nagpur was founded in 1972 to meet the needs of employees who work in cooperative organisations and co-operative departments in Maharashtra State. In honor of the late Dr. Dhananjayrao Gadgil Institute is named in honor of the former D. Dhananjayrao Gadgil, the prominent economist, Co-operator and former Vice Chairperson of the Planning Commission, Government of India.
