Digvijai Nath Post Graduate College, Gorakhpur was established on 25 August 1969 by the Management Committee headed by Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, Gorakhpur. It is located on civil lines in  the heart of Gorakhpur city in eastern Uttar Pradesh. The days are not far when the college will be able to fulfill the vision and great mission of the great soul "Brahmleen Mahanth Digvijai Nath ji Maharaj" whose name adorns the identity of the college. 

His Holiness 'Brahmleen Digvijai Nathji Maharaj, former Head Priest of the world famous Shree Guru Gorakshnath Temple, Gorakhpur was the founder of the college. He was an eastern U.P. pioneer of the educational renaissance. None other than him founded the Maha Rana Pratap Shiksha Parishad at Gorakhpur in 1932 to spread the light of knowledge and awareness in eastern U.P. to residents whom he found  living in complete poverty, ignorance and every kind of backwardness.

Meeting place: 

Samvad Kacch is a very  luxurious hall in the college. It is fully AC with around 150 plus fixed cushion seats. It is a universal hall where conferences, cultural, academic discussions and other academic activities are organized. This hall also has PPT and projectors. 

Multi-purpose hall: 

The university has the largest multi-purpose hall "Pusthkalya Sabhagar" which can seat around 400 people at any one time. Various cultural events - meetings, yoga and other conferences - can be organized in this hall.  

Smart class 

Smart Class is available both in  our college campus (Digvijai Nath P.G College Gorakhpur East Campus and West Campus) which makes teaching easier and more enjoyable with the help of  pictures, diagrams, videos etc., concepts are explained in a simplified manner. The college has fully furnished classrooms with state-of-the-art digital equipment. The tutorial includes practical demonstrations to facilitate understanding. Both physical and mental health play an important role in human well-being. In line with the goal of multifaceted development of  students, the campus has its own gymnasium. 

It includes equipment for the girls of the world, such as treadmills and strength machines for exercise and fitness. In short, the gymnasium provides an ideal atmosphere for  students  and teachers for holistic and healthy development. Exercise is good for  mental health. Experts believe that exercise releases feel-good chemicals in your brain. Regular exercise can also improve your self-esteem and help you focus, sleep, look and feel better. 

Sports stadium 

students are so busy putting together their projects and assessments that they need  to slow down and pick up their energy. Since  the academies are busy and it is difficult for every student to deal with their studies, it is an advantage to participate in all extracurricular activities. Not only will this help you  reduce stress, but it can also help you  develop into a successful athlete. Therefore, there must be sports facilities in the college.  Digvijai Nath PG College Gorakhpur is one of the  popular colleges known for its sports facilities in two campuses East and West Campus. Outdoor and Indoor Sports Facilities: Every student is encouraged to actively participate in at least one outdoor activity. The college has established facilities/grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Caramel etc. and league competitions are encouraged. We  also plan inter-college sports tournaments  in "sansthapak samaroh" every year from 4th to 10th. in December to develop a  healthy competitive spirit. 

Hostel for girls and boys 

The campus has separate hostels for girls and boys with well-conditioned rooms and toilets on each floor. For the students of Digvijai Nath PG College, a 121-bed girls' hostel named "Digvijai Nath mahila Chhatrawas" and a 60-bed girls' hostel "Maharana Pratap Ashram" have been reserved. The excellent mixing arrangement ensures hygienically prepared three meals a day and a cup of tea and snacks in the evening. Both hostels have lounges with TV, newspapers and some Indore games. There is a CCTV camera  to monitor and ensure the security  of the hostels. R.O. water supply in the campus. Real Estate Gym. 

Computer labs: 

The purpose of the computer lab is to provide basic functional  services to students who may not have access to such technology at home or elsewhere. The computer lab is an environment where students can get support and help to solve computer problems. The DNPG GKP computer lab is open to all students, faculty, and staff. In 2010, a computer laboratory with the subjects of computing, physics, and mathematics was established in the college according to the B.Sc. The college has one computer laboratory for the use of students, with 60 computers in the laboratory. All computers in the building are connected to the local network. It has advanced  hardware and software infrastructure to meet the demands of  students, teachers and curricula. The college is equipped with a  broadband Internet connection so that enterprising students can explore the Internet. They do extensive research for their projects and presentations.
