Divya College of Education Jammu and Kashmir was established in the year 1998 as Private Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Teaching. Divya College of Education is approved by the reputed NCTE and is affiliated with the University of Jammu, Jammu.

The College represents its objective: "OM" which occupies the central place in the emblem. It is considered to be the greatest of all the mantras of sacred formulas. "OM" represents several important triads, the three worlds of earth, atmosphere, and heaven; the three major Hindu Gods-Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva and the three sacred Vedic scriptures Rigveda, Yajurveda, and Samaveda. Thus "OM" mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe. These are the ideals and objectives of the DIVYA College of Education to spread the light of education to the whole of the community through the teaching-learning process.

Girls Hostel

The Divya College of Education has twin girls hostels within the campus having a capacity to accommodate more than 200 girls. The hostel is managed by a trained lady Warden. The hostel has a common girls' room equipped with games, newspapers, and magazines.

Hostel Mess and Canteen

For residential girl students living in the college hostel, the college mess is on a cooperative basis where nutritious food is prepared and served to the inmates of the Hostel. The college canteen serves both residential as well as day scholars.

Divya College of Education feels proud to own a women's resource cell and heritage cell that works for the empowerment of women by creating awareness about their rights and responsibilities.
