The college was governed by the Sri Balaji Educational Society. The foundation stone is laid by our beloved M.L.A Sri. KMeenakshi Naidu on May 1, 1997, and the college building was inaugurated by Prof. PR Naidu (Vice Chancellor of S.K.University, Anantapur) on February 28, 1998. Dr Jyothyrmayi Degree College was designed and established beside Ramjala road which is one of the pride places of Adoni town and will be the resource for the water-supplied road in 1997.

The hostel is on campus. 32 living rooms can accommodate 5 students in each bedroom, equipped with a desk, chair and wardrobe. There are sufficient toilets, bathrooms and sinks with running water. There are two dining halls and a modern kitchen. There is a beautiful chapel also on campus to meet the spiritual needs of the inmates

The Library

Dr Jyothirmayi Degree College, Adoni has its excellently equipped library housed in a second-storeyed building. It is well-ventilated and furnished with a pleasant academic environment. The library has a collection of over 10,000 books, over 100 journals, over 500 memoirs, and 4,000 back issues of magazines and CDs and DVDs.

Health Center

As the college is located within the town, the college management has not provided any health centre facility within the premises. Whenever any need arises, the members of the teaching faculty are supporting the students after giving due information to their parents.

Transport
