Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI) Engineering College (DMIEC) was established in 2009. It was founded by Fr. Arul Raj.OMI.The institute is placed at Keechalm village close to Tirutani approximately a hundred twenty-five Kms far-far from Chennai. The society manages numerous educational, technical, health, welfare, and social improvement institutions. To groom properly disciplined, humanly motivated, intellectually enlightened, technically orientated residents with stamina constructed to face the changing world and a committed and strong spiritual base is our goal.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The enviro-friendly campus has separate academic and hostel buildings to enable the students to feel at home and to develop their creativity. The campus has over 2,18,400 sq. ft. built-up area to accommodate the following: A long three-storeyed main college building with well-ventilated and spacious classrooms and drawing halls. It accommodates the Administrative block First Year Departments and allied laboratories. The ECE & CSE departments are accommodated in a three-storeyed block with all the laboratories. The Mechanical Department is housed in a separate three-storeyed spacious block behind the main block. A separate and well-constructed three-storeyed Civil Block houses all the laboratories and classrooms. A separate EEE Block is housed in a separate three-storeyed spacious block with all laboratories and classrooms for EEE and Mechanical departments. Waiting for Halls for Boys and Girls in all departments Chapel & Prayer Hall

Library:

The library is the heart, mind, and soul of an educational institution and a head of innovativeness, inspiration, and insight both for the students and the faculty. Learning and library are complementary to each other as the light to the lamp.

Esthetically designed and State of the art the library ) is located in the ground floor of the College building and is well-facilitated. It has been systematically and steadily strengthened. The operation and services are with fully computerized Library Automation Software. The library is equipped with more than 20,000 books from different streams. 

Cafeteria:

To nourish our students and staff with delicious food, the college Canteen functions regularly and provides a variety of food and eatables to the taste of all the people at a nominal rate. Students during off hours make use of the spacious and well-designed canteen with a suitable aesthetic touch. The canteen has a hygienic kitchen with appliances to provide all kinds of food. It is tastefully crafted to provide much-needed relief and a soothing environment.

HOSTEL:

The Institute has magnificently designed separate hostels for Boys and Girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good hygienic food to the students. The boy's hostel has the ability of approximately one hundred twenty boys (extendable up to 150 ) while the lady's hostel can residence 110girls (can be extended up to 140)… Both hostels have common Rooms, Gyms, Badminton Courts, a volleyball ground, and facilities for other indoor games. 

Transport:

The DMI College buses are available to the students and staff for commuting not only from various parts of the city but also from the suburbs to the College campus and back. All students can make use of the college transport. This student-friendly facility has made it possible to begin classes in time and thereby helping the academic process continue seamlessly. This has also enabled the College to drive home the importance of punctuality and discipline among students.
