In 1964 it was renamed Dantuluri Narayana Raju (D.N.R) College in reminiscence of its founder. Under this premier association, the DNR College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2010. The university has a motto of presenting fine engineering training via nicely described teaching-learning methodologies followed by the curriculum of JNTUK, Kakinada in a highly disciplinal environment. Though the university became commenced with a consumption of three hundred seats, it's miles superior to 540 seats.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Boys Hostel:

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The goal of the Hostel is to offer appropriate and cushy lodging for students. The two hostels are supervised by experienced wardens and caretakers, they will take care of the mess and grievance redressal. The hostel has grown given that from its inception and is now taken into consideration as a “SECOND HOME” via the way of means of the Students. 

Girls Hostel:

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Library:

The College has an impressive collection of around 29000 volumes of 6000 titles, 45 National & International print Journals, 10 Magazines, and 13 Newspapers to cater to the Engineering streams. The library books can be easily accessed through the use of the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and are absolutely automatic with included library control system “ECAP- LIBMAN” software. The college is equipped with a digital library facility where students can access different e-journals and online resources through DELNET, NDL, NPTEL-SWAYAM, JOURNALTOCS, and SHODHGANGA. 

Sports:

The college has sports facilities for all students. Sports are an integral part of the curriculum and have given the same importance as Studies. The college has a Playground and Gymnasium with all facilities like Cricket, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, Chess & Caroms, etc…Regular tournaments in Sports & Games are conducted as per schedule. Students are also encouraged to participate in various sports activities according to their interests.

I.T Infrastructure:

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The College Computer Labs are artistically and ergonomically designed, where students get an opportunity to develop their skills according to global needs and international standards. DNRCET has high-end computing and network resources for academic and research programs. The students and staff have access to software tools and systems to execute real-life projects. The institute strives to make learning more creative, and interactive, and information is driven by using sophisticated computer techniques. The labs are set to create a specialist environment required for students of Engineering.

Transport Facility:

The college has a transport facility for students and staff. The college runs 10 buses covering all the important points in Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem, Narasapuram, and other small villages with a total seating capacity of around 600 students in two shifts.

Admission

A candidate should possess the eligibility of 10+2 qualification from the Board of Intermediate, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as his/her optional subjects, or any other equivalent examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The Convener of ECET admits 20% of the candidates from the stream of Diploma Holders should pass a diploma from Andhra Pradesh State Government or an equivalent examination.
